a LIFE without love..

Ahh, my curly locks are not liking the humidity; yet finally i see a hint of color in my complexion. I know summer looks differently depending on your location, so I won’t go into all the reasons I’m excited for fireworks and backyard BBQs… You’ll probably end up seeing those in my IG stories anyway.

But I am here today to tell you why I actually really LOVE the start of a new season. My mind really needs that feeling of a new beginning, a reset, a pitstop to reflect and assess..asking, “okay, how do we want to spend this next chunk of time? What will put us closer to the goal, the ultimate dream? How can we be of bigger impact?”

We all know how the years seem to go by faster and faster, being left wondering where did the time go. I think that’s because we don’t take enough pitstops to reflect and plan.

We’re still figuring out this whole thing called LIFE and will continue right up until the day we die. What if we made a commitment today to start taking more pit stops? Perhaps seasonally, instead of once a year (if at all).

I find that thinking seasonally, helps me not feel so overwhelmed with the thought of planning what I need to accomplish in a year (as if we even know what things will look like a year from now, this past year is a prime example, right?); and yet satisfying the planner in me that needs to be a little more than a few steps ahead.

We all want to make the most out of our time in this life. I want mine to have more meaning by being intentional with how I use my minutes. After all we only have 1440 in a day (my coder friends are laughing now).

So, that’s what I’m doing this week!

I’m taking a pitstop. I’m reflecting on all we have accomplished so far this year. I am looking forward to launching the projects in process. I’m taking note of all the little ways I can make a difference. I’m asking my inner circle how better i can show up for them. I’m sitting with myself asking how I want to feel at summer’s end..making course corrections to the plan.

So, thinking seasonally for yourself, how do you want to feel by the end of summer?

Leave a comment. Let’s hold each other accountable!
